Alphabetical Glossary

AES50 — Digital audio connection used between the M32 and DL32.

ATEM — Blackmagic video switcher receiving the broadcast mix.

Bus — A signal path that combines selected sources for a destination.

Bus 7/8 — Linked M32 buses used for Video Left and Video Right.

Corys Sandbox — Training/experiment scene saved in slot 50.

DL32 — Midas digital stage box providing remote stage I/O.

DN32-LIVE — M32 LIVE expansion/recording interface supporting SD/USB functions.

EQ — Equalization; adjustment of frequency balance.

Fader — Level control.

Gain — Input-stage amplification; not the same as a mix fader.

High-pass / low-cut filter — Filter that reduces frequencies below its cutoff region.

MONO CENTER — Current house-mix destination used in the installed system.

PFL — Pre-Fader Listen; monitoring a signal before its fader.

Scene — Stored console state capable of recalling many parameters.

Unity — A reference gain position where a control applies neither boost nor attenuation to that stage.

Unity Start — Known-good Sunday starting scene.

Video L/R Return — ATEM return channels on Aux 3/4; must not be routed back to Bus 7/8.
