9. BoxCast Test Broadcast

After all equipment and software are running:

  1. Open BoxCast on the Control/Streaming PC.
  2. Open Sources and select the Blackmagic ATEM source.
  3. Select Start Test Broadcast.
  4. Confirm that the ATEM ON AIR indicator is active if required by the present configuration.
  5. Wait for playback to become available; this may take about 30 seconds to two minutes.
  6. Start playback.
  7. Select several cameras and verify that changes appear.
  8. Test titles or lower thirds.
  9. Listen through the headphones designated for the live broadcast.
  10. Confirm that speech and music are audible and undistorted.
  11. End the test well before the scheduled service — no later than 10:45 a.m. under the original procedure.
  12. Verify that the test has ended.

Critical

A test broadcast left active may prevent the scheduled live broadcast from beginning correctly.

Remove the private test from the BoxCast broadcast list afterward if that remains team policy.
